Microsoft and SymphonyAI Collaborate to Boost Business Performance in Retail

The significant advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), SymphonyAI, a leader in predictive and Generative AI (Gen AI) solutions, is joining forces with Microsoft to propel the retail industry into the next era of connected commerce. Facing increasing pressure to align with evolving customer expectations, business leaders within the retail sector are eager to formulate robust AI strategies. SymphonyAI and Microsoft's collaboration focuses on leveraging Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to deploy cutting-edge AI software applications for retailers globally. The primary objective is to provide swift and comprehensive insights while establishing genuinely connected end-to-end retail experiences. This partnership extends to incorporating SymphonyAI Retail Copilots on Microsoft Azure, a move aimed at enhancing productivity, collaboration, and overall business performance for category managers and supply chain demand planners.

As the retail landscape undergoes digital transformation, there is a growing realization of the potential of AI to revolutionize the industry. A recent study by IBM underscores the dissatisfaction of customers with both in-store and online shopping experiences, emphasizing the need for new technologies like AI to enhance overall customer satisfaction. SymphonyAI's retail applications, built on finely tuned Language Models (LLMs), combine deep retail domain expertise with predictive and Gen AI capabilities on Azure, empowering retailers to make rapid and informed decisions while gaining valuable insights from customer datasets.

SymphonyAI's recent unveiling of the Category Manager Copilot and Demand Planner Copilot, announced on January 17, 2024, aligns with their commitment to assisting retailers in addressing challenges. These copilots leverage AI to generate meaningful customer insights, facilitating context-aware decision-making that balances business priorities. With the ability to offer recommendations to industry leaders using both text and graphics, these tools enable organizations to make better decisions that positively impact their customers. Furthermore, the copilots generate AI forecasts, minimize waste, and meet customer demands, providing retailers with a comprehensive solution to navigate the complexities of the modern retail landscape.

This collaboration is not only a strategic move for SymphonyAI but also aligns with Microsoft's continued investments in the AI and technology sectors through its Azure services. As part of their broader efforts, Microsoft recently collaborated with Vodafone to revamp digital strategies, including the integration of Gen AI. Microsoft's vision for the Azure OpenAI platform is to deliver real-time and hyper-personalized experiences across all customer-facing services of Vodafone, highlighting the transformative potential of predictive and Gen AI tools in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering end-to-end connectivity in retail. Keith Mercier, General Manager of Worldwide Retail & Consumer Goods at Microsoft, expresses anticipation for the ongoing collaboration with SymphonyAI, foreseeing the delivery of transformational productivity, accuracy, and shopper engagement to the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries through generative AI.
