ASUS Unveils Cutting-Edge AI Servers: Power meets Affordability with Modular Design

ASUS, a prominent player in the technology sector, has introduced a groundbreaking line of AI servers, combining power and cost-effectiveness through a modular design. Recognizing the critical role of hardware in facilitating successful AI deployments, ASUS has collaborated with NVIDIA, a leading AI chip manufacturer, to create servers tailored for optimal performance, seamless data center integration, and AI development support. At the NVIDIA GTC 2024 AI developer conference in San Jose, CA, IT leaders are getting a firsthand look at ASUS' innovative servers, built on NVIDIA's MGX server reference architecture. This architecture allows ASUS to harness the latest advancements in GPUs, CPUs, NVME storage, and PCIe Gen5 interfaces, ensuring cutting-edge capabilities for AI workloads.

ASUS has leveraged NVIDIA's MGX Server reference architecture to develop a versatile lineup of AI and high-performance computing servers. By adopting a modular approach, ASUS can customize server configurations to meet specific workload requirements, incorporating a mix of GPU, DPU, and CPU options. This flexibility enables ASUS to fully utilize NVIDIA's groundbreaking technologies, such as the Grace Hopper Superchip and NVLink–C2C, for enhanced performance and scalability. In addition to the advanced hardware, ASUS has introduced several key features to optimize server performance. These include the Core Optimizer, Engine Boost, and Workload Presets, aimed at maximizing processor performance and efficiency across various workloads.

ASUS has addressed the challenge of cooling high-performance AI systems with three innovative cooling options: efficient air systems, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, and full immersion cooling. These cooling solutions not only ensure optimal performance but also contribute to energy efficiency and reduced operational costs in data centers. Complementing the powerful hardware is ASUS' comprehensive software stack, including a no-code AI platform. This platform enables businesses of all sizes to accelerate AI development, from pre-training to inference, with lower risk and faster implementation.
